Actor Varun Dhawan says he is a protective father and will do anything to ensure that his daughter is taken care of. In a recent interview, the actor spoke at length about becoming a father and how having a daughter in life changes everything for a man.
Was speaking in conversation with Varun Hollywood Reporter India Where he mentioned that he would not spare anyone who tried to harm his daughter. The 37-year-old man spoke of becoming a fierce warrior to protect his daughter.
Varun said, “I think when any person, any man, becomes a parent, it is a different experience for a mother. I think she becomes a lioness, at that moment just Something happens. But, as a man, I would say, that when we become parents, for some reason, you feel protective of your daughter, I’m sure you feel for sons too. , but towards the daughter… if someone likes her so much If someone does even a little harm, I will kill them. I am very serious when I say that. I will kill them.”
The actor said that fatherhood has also helped him understand his father better. Varun shared that he now understands why his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, would behave protectively towards him and his siblings. “I have started to understand my father David Dhawan a little better – his insecurities, his excessive behaviour, his concern about ‘getting home on time’,” he said.
Varun told that his father had called his mother to ask where she was and how this would bother him. The actor said he is in a better position today to understand how his father wanted to support the family and ensure that everyone worked like a tribe. “He’s calling my mom. He just wanted everyone to stay together as a tribe, as a pack. I would never understand it, I’d say, ‘What’s the matter with him?’ I’m not a child, why does he want to keep me with him,” he explained.
Varun and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed a baby girl in June this year. The couple is very cautious about their personal life and it was during their appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 that they talked about naming their daughter Lara.
