Director Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 is making a splash at the box office. Even a month after its release, there has been no decrease in the film’s earnings. Tamannaah Bhatia has done a cameo in Stree 2. In an exclusive interview with India Today.in, Kaushik revealed how he roped in Tamannaah. He also revealed that he was hesitant to approach Tamannaah, especially because she had to sport a bald look.

Talking about the casting, Amar Kaushik told IndiaToday. In, “Just like the first film, the script demanded a dance number like Nora’s. But this time, we wanted to make sure that the dance was not just a dance but had some meaning. The story evolved in such a way that we thought of introducing Shama and then the idea was to cast someone who could dance well and was also a good actress. We had two or three suggestions and Tamannaah had done a show with Maddock, and we felt she was the right performer.”

Kaushik revealed that he was hesitant to approach her. “I was a bit hesitant to ask her because the character needs to be shown bald in the climax sequence. I approached her and she was very comfortable about it. She didn’t even question the scene and was ready to shed the vanity. When actors come with this energy, it works and everyone talks about the role,” he added.

Stree 2 also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi along with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The film has already crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office,
