Actor Riddi Dogra was one of the Bollywood actors, who took a stand in opposing Pakistani materials and actors after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. He has said that many people harassed him to stand for India. Riddi, Joe, was part of the Riddhi, and Wani Kapoor-starrer romantic-Drama ‘Abir Gulal’, voiced against the release of his film amid India-Pakistan tension.

Ridhi, in an interview Hindustan TimesShared that he was criticized for supporting his country. “In the case of the film, I talked to my country, and suddenly I was being harassed by saying that”Oho But he worked with (Fawad Khan). But I was firm. Do not threaten me I am as much citizen of this country as you. When I did that work, I was taking great care of the laws of my country. I did not do anything illegal. And today, when we are in this position, I think I want to stand with my country, my armed forces. And not because I am anything important, but just because you are all, “he said.

Apart from Riddi, actor Harshvardhan Rane had said that he would not be a part of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’, if his Pakistani co-actress Mavra Hocken was part of the film. The latter reacted to his statement, called it a “PR strategy”. Harshvardhan responded to his comment and called it a “personal attack”. The production house later admitted that Mavra would not be included in the sequel of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’. However, the character of the Pakistani actor died in the first part.

Many Bollywood celebrities are facing a backlash to bang Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, including a Nepali resident. While most Bollywood actors condemned the incident, they did not mention Pakistan in their social media posts.

Actor Preity Zinta, whose father was in the Indian Army, was one of the few celebrities who expressed their strong feelings against the heinous terrorist incident.
