Huawei Pura 80 Ultra Review

Introduction

The Huawei Pura 80 series is now launched outside China and we got Crown Jewel for review – Pura 80 Ultra. Huawei is constantly holding the top of its imaging game, but this year, it has crossed our expectations.

But before we dive into the intricacies of this foreign camera camera, let’s cover the basics first. Pura 80 Ultra is a stylish curved phone with a Kunlun glass panel and IP68/IP69 rating. It has a triangular camera housing on the back, which has grown in this device and for all the right reasons.

Pura 80 Ultra 1276p Resolution, 120Hz Dynamic Refresh Rate, 10-bit color depth and HDR also pack 6.8-inch Ltpo OLED with vivid video support. This Kirin 9020 is powered by 7Nm chip, which we have already seen elsewhere, and we have established that it falls in the category of middle-grain. While it is not a gaming chip, it is also no dull.

Pura 80 Ultra comes with a 5,700mAh battery in China and 5,170mAh for the rest of the world. It supports 100W wired, 80W wireless and 20W reverse wireless charging.

But this phone is mostly about cameras.

The primary camera uses the Ryyb color filter, a 50MP 1-inch ultra lighting HDR sensor with a variable aperture lens, and the record-bracking 16 stops of the dynamic range promises a significant improvement in low-light and backlit scenes, as well as in the video dynamic range.

Then another industry comes first – a swabble dual -lens telephoto camera. It combines two lenses – an 83 mm 3.7x medium telephoto and a 9.4x tall telephoto. These two share the same 1/1.28 -inch sensor – the biggest in the smartphone telephoto camera till date.

The switch between the lens is handled by a built-in light-fierce mechanism operated by a small motor. Essentially, it is a dual-purpose, four-lens-group design, which manages to create light inside the mechanism, which travels long effective distance-Huaweei says that this is a 129% increase compared to the periscope system in other phones.

The final camera on the back is a 40MP ultravide shooter with autofocus – a more traditional piece of kit.

For selfie you get an ultravide 13MP AF-competent camera that is also advertised for its impressive dynamic range.

It is not all sun and roses, of course. Pura 80 Ultra Is Expensive and mid-range silicon was given inside, you would be right to think that the phone is not a great value for money at all. This does not support 5G connectivity due to long -standing ban that prevents Huawei from developing 5G chips. And finally, with a lack of access to Google mobile services and apps, it is clear that Huawei is dealt with a thick hand, if you shed our card-playing metaphor. The company, however, is not a stranger for this situation and has become incredibly good in creating such bad hands with resources and sheer engineering simplicity.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra Unboxing

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra vessels inside a large luxurious cardboard box, in which recently we have more than what we have been used. There is also a rather well-designed protective case in a color that complements the phone (off-white in our case), which is pronounced by the Purana Triangle logo.
