Huawei Matepad Pro 12.2 (2025) Review

Introduction

Huawei has refreshed its Matepad Pro 12.2 tablets this year, and it is once again manufactured in two separate versions – with a standard screen glass and the other with a papermatte display. Today, we are going to see in more detail in the Huawei Matepad Pro 12.2 (2025) Papermatte Edition.

The Matepad Pro is built with a 12.2-inch double-layer OLED screen with 2800 x 1840 pixels, 10-bit depth and 144hz refresh rate. The papermatte version comes with a special antiglair glass that feels like paper. Matt version reduces reflections, improves sunlight ease, helps with more immersive readings and writing/drawing (if you get alternative M-pencils).

Kirin 9020 Chip is at the center of the new Matepad Pro – it has a better 8 -core processor and Maloon GPU. That tablet is available with 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. We have already combined with this 7Nm chip and we know that it falls in the modern mid-range category, but it is definitely not a slut.

The tablet has two cameras – 4K30 video capturing and a 50mp primary with 8MP ultravide shooter. The front camera uses 8MP imagers with a certain focus.

If you are familiar with the previous year’s model, the update is not very interested in you as it brings a little advanced Kirin chipset, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and a high resolution camera sensor on the back.

There is no admission protection on the Matepad Pro, but it is hardly the biggest shock.
