Since its release in June, A Quiet Place: Day One has created quite a stir at the worldwide box office and grossed around $253.8 million worldwide. Now, it is ready to stream online and you can watch it quietly from the comfort of your home.
While the makers haven’t confirmed the exact date of the digital premiere yet, films usually hit the streaming platform about two or three months after their release date. Let’s take a look at what the film is about and its streaming details.
How and where can you watch ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’?
The film premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 26 and was released in theaters by Paramount Pictures two days later on June 28. So, expect it to have a digital premiere on Paramount+ around August or September and then on other streaming platforms as well.
The Paramount+ Essentials plan costs $5.99 monthly (limited to ads), while the Paramount+ with Showtime plan costs $11.99. A one-week free trial is currently available for both options.
A Quiet Place: Day One can be viewed via video-on-demand services like YouTube, Google Play Movies, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and more. It’s available to buy for $24.99 or rent for $19.99. Starting October 8, the film will also be available on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and 4K Steelbook. Prices start at $25.99 at Target, Amazon and Walmart.
About the film ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’
Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the third installment of the A Quiet Place film series serves as its spin-off or prequel. The apocalyptic horror film is based on a story created by Sarnoski with John Krasinski. A Quiet Place: Day One follows A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place Part II (2020), both directed by John Krasinski. The first film remains the highest-grossing franchise of all time with a box office collection of $340 million worldwide.
The film follows Sam, a terminally ill woman who becomes trapped in Manhattan, New York City, during the early stages of an alien invasion. These creatures are blind and have a super-sounding sense of hearing who fall from the sky to conquer Earth. She meets Eric, a law student who has nothing to lose, and the two attempt to escape the island.

Lupita Nyong’o plays Sam while Stranger Things season 4 star Joseph Quinn plays Eric in the film. Other cast members include Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, who returns to his role from A Quiet Place Part II, Takunda Khumalo, Alfie Todd, Ronnie Le Drew, and Ellen Umuhire.
The film is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Krasinski under the banners of Platinum Dunes and Sunday Night Productions.
