1. Mexican Hot Chocolate

Mexican food is known for its spices, and also for its hot chocolate. Yes, this warm cup of sweet hot chocolate comes with a hint of chili to warm you from the inside out. It also contains other spices such as cinnamon, originally from Chocolate de Mesa, a bar of Mexican table chocolate made with real cinnamon.
Add milk, cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract and a pinch of chili powder in a saucepan. Mix with a whisk, add bittersweet chocolate and heat until the chocolate is completely melted. Serve and enjoy!
2. Spanish Hot Chocolate
Spanish hot chocolate is thick, rich, creamy and silky. The secret behind the thickness is the use of cornstarch. This dense hot chocolate pairs well with churros.
Pour milk into a saucepan. Whisk cornstarch into hot milk until dissolved. Add the chocolate and keep stirring until it melts completely. Add the sugar and continue stirring for about 5 minutes until the hot chocolate thickens well.

3. French Hot Chocolate

Heat whole milk in a saucepan. When hot, turn off the flame and add chopped chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Turn the flame back on and cook the hot chocolate on low flame. Keep stirring occasionally until you reach your desired thickness. Turn off the heat and stir in the brown sugar. Your French hot chocolate is ready!
4. Dutch Hot Chocolate
Dutch hot chocolate (called warm chocolatemelk) is a classic recipe from the Netherlands. This hot chocolate uses the finest dark chocolate chips and a teaspoon of Dutch process cocoa.
Pour milk in a saucepan until it boils. Mix cocoa, sugar, vanilla and a little milk in a bowl and make a smooth paste. Add hot milk to chocolate mixture. If desired, add brandy to it. Serve hot chocolate, topped with dollops of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

5. Argentinian Hot Chocolate

Instead, a thick piece of dark chocolate is served with a hot cup of milk, sugar, and vanilla.
