‘House of the Dragon’ season 2 finale leaked online, HBO issues official statement
The much-awaited season 2 finale of ‘House of the Dragon’ got leaked online just days before its official release. HBO released a statement regarding the leak and is actively removing the clip.

‘House of the Dragon’ fans are eagerly waiting for the release of its season 2 finale on Monday. Unfortunately, the season finale episode has been leaked online just days before its release on JioCinema. Now, HBO has released an official statement addressing the leak.
“The season finale of #HouseOfTheDragon is titled, ‘The Queen Who Never Was.’ Unfortunately, the episode has been leaked online. Please be cautious going on Twitter and in the tags until it airs on Sunday. Major spoilers are already circulating,” the handle Westerosians’ Ex posted on Wednesday.
The episode’s title was later corrected to ‘The Queen Who Ever Was.’ On Thursday, August 1, HBO released its official statement on the episode leak.
The network said, “We’re aware that clips from the final episode of ‘House of the Dragon’ season one have surfaced on social media platforms. These clips were posted after being inadvertently released by an international third-party distributor. HBO is aggressively monitoring and removing the clips from the internet, and fans can watch the full episode this Sunday night on HBO and Max.”
‘House of the Dragon’ is set two hundred years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ the megahit HBO show that ran for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019.

It follows the Targaryen family as they compete for control of the Iron Throne in Westeros. The network has already ordered a third season. Season 2 takes viewers to the brink of a bloody civil war between King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, both of whom represent factions within the family.
This season had eight episodes, while the first season had 10 episodes, and each episode was approximately an hour in length. House of the Dragon averaged 7.8 million total viewers on Sunday night, down 22% from last year. Last year, when it was first released, it was the highest-rated HBO series premiere ever, drawing nearly 10 million viewers. This year saw the biggest single-day audience ever for Max, HBO’s streaming platform.
