Honor is set to launch the Honor Magic 6 Pro in India on August 2. The company has revealed the design of the phone, which features a large hexagonal camera island surrounded by a metal frame, giving it a premium look. The model has already been launched in other markets and will be Honor’s first flagship phone in India. The design and features suggest a high-end device. However, Honor has not yet revealed the key specifications of the device. Notably, the Honor Magic 6 Pro was launched in China in January. As per reports, the Indian variant is likely to have the same specifications as the Chinese variant.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is a flagship smartphone that offers a plethora of high-end features, making it an attractive option for tech enthusiasts. Starting with its dimensions, the device measures 162.5 mm in length, 75.8 mm in width and 8.9 mm in thickness. It comes in two weight variants: the glass version weighs around 229 grams, while the vegan leather version is slightly lighter at 225 grams, both including the battery.

One of the most striking features of the Honor Magic 6 Pro is its 6.80-inch OLED display. The screen supports a 19.69:9 aspect ratio and can display 1.07 billion colours with DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. It has a resolution of FHD+ 1280×2800 pixels, ensuring sharp and vibrant visuals. Eye protection features such as 4320Hz PWM dimming, natural light eye protection and sleep-aiding display make it comfortable for long hours of use. The screen also features Honor Giant Rhino Glass for added strength and can reach an impressive HDR peak brightness of 5000 nits, with a global peak brightness of 1600 nits.

Under the hood, the Honor Magic 6 Pro is powered by the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform, which has an octa-core CPU configuration. This includes one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.3GHz, coupled with the Adreno 750 GPU. This setup ensures smooth and efficient performance, whether you’re multitasking, gaming, or streaming.

The phone offers multiple storage options to suit different needs: 256GB storage with 12GB RAM, 512GB storage with 16GB RAM, and a top-tier model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. This ample storage capacity ensures that you have enough space for all your apps, photos, and videos.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro excels at photography with its versatile triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP wide-angle lens with f/1.4-f/2.0 aperture range and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 180MP periscope telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. This setup allows taking detailed and high-quality photos in a variety of conditions. The rear camera supports video recording in multiple resolutions including 4K at 30/60 FPS, and features like 4K Night Scene, Slow Motion, HDR Vivid, and Magic-Log enhance your videography experience.

For selfies, the front camera system includes a 50MP wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and a 3D depth camera. It supports video recording in 4K at 30 FPS and 1080P at 30/60 FPS, ensuring that your self-portraits and video calls are crisp and clear.
