Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro smartphones have officially launched in global markets (not yet in India), its number has brought back the spotlight on high-resolution photography in the series. Both phones have a 200-megapixel primary rear camera a huge, and when they share multiple core features, the pro model pack has some extra packs such as telephoto lens, more powerful hardware and faster charging in some extra. The company is also focusing a lot on AI this time, with a group of new devices designed to make life easier.
Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro: Price and Availability
The honor 400 is priced at Euro 499 (about Rs 48,400) and Euro 549 (about Rs 53,200) for 256GB and 512GB storage options. RAM is standard at 8GB on both variants. Meanwhile, the Honor 400 Pro comes in a single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option, priced at Euro 799 (about 77,500 rupees).
Both phones go on sale across Europe from 22 May, including the UK, select and select retailers through the Honor website. Honor 400 is available in four colors: Desert Gold, Chandra Gray and Midnight Black. On the other hand, Honor 400 Pro, lunar gray and midnight falls in Black Colorway.
So far, there is no update on Indian availability of both devices.
Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro: Major glasses and features
The Honor 400 Pro series has a more premium device. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 General 3 chipset – as its predecessor, Honor 300 Pro – and 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The highlight is its camera setup: a 200-megapixel primary sensor (F/1.9, OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens (Sony IMX856, 3x optical zoom), and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with macro support. On the front, you get a 50-megapixel selfie shooter with support for 4K video recording.
The Honor 400 Pro also includes 120Hz refresh rates, 5,000 NIT peak brightness, and a quad-kresh 6.7-inch OLED display with 3,840hz PWM dimming. The device is IP68/IP69 which is rated to dust and water resistance and packs 5,300mAh silicone-carbon batteries. You get 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Honor claims that the battery can maintain 80 percent health even after a bicycle of 1,200 charged bicycles or about four years.
Regular honors cut some corners to hit 400 low prices. It is powered by Snapdragon 7 General 3 chip and comes with 8 GB RAM as standard. While it has the same 200-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 50-megapixel front camera, it leaves the telephoto lens-which means the main camera digitally handles the zoom. There is also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with macro support.
The Honor 400 display is slightly smaller at 6.55 inches and is flat instead of quad-cits. It still offers 120Hz refresh, similar 5,000 NITs, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. It also shares a 5,300mAh silicone-carbon battery, but is overshadowed by fast wired charging 66W. This model IP65 has been rated for dust and water resistance.
On the software front, both phones run Magicose 9.0 based on Android 15 and are promised six years of Android update and security patch. The Honor has packed in a series of AI features such as image-to-video generation (coming through updates soon), AI subtitles, AI summary and even suspected video calls to detect deepfac.
