Honor recently launched its flagship Honor 200 series in India, which includes the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro smartphones. Now, the company is set to launch the third smartphone in the series, the Honor 200 Lite. As the name suggests, the smartphone will likely be the new affordable model in the series. Honor has confirmed the launch of the Honor 200 Lite on September 19 and the device will be available on Amazon India and the company’s mainline stores. Like the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro, the main highlight of the Honor 200 Lite will be its camera. Honor is marketing the device to allow “professional-level” photography.
The company has already confirmed that the Honor 200 Lite will feature a triple camera setup that will include a 108-megapixel main camera with f/1.75 aperture, wide and depth cameras with f/2.2 aperture, and a macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone is also confirmed to offer different portrait modes such as 1x Environmental Portrait, 2x Atmospheric Portrait, and 3x Close-up Portrait. For selfies, the Honor 200 Lite will feature a 50-megapixel camera that will also have AI wide-angle selfie functionality that adjusts to a 90-degree field of view (FOV) for group selfies.
Honor has also confirmed some design details about the phone. The company says that the Honor 200 Lite will be sleek. It will measure 6.78mm thick and weigh 166 grams. Honor says that the device is “built to withstand everyday wear and tear and accidental drops, earning the SGS 5-star drop resistance certification”. The Honor 200 Lite will be available in three colour variants: Starry Blue, Cyan Lake and Midnight Black.
The Honor 200 Lite will likely sit somewhere between the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. To get some idea of what the current Honor 200 series has to offer, here is a look at the specifications and features of the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro:
The Honor 200 series features a triple-camera system, with a focus on portrait mode developed in collaboration with Studio Harcourt. The rear cameras include a 50-megapixel main portrait lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera offering 2.5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The Honor 200 Pro goes further with a 1/1.3-inch Super Dynamic H9000 sensor, which offers improved light-sensing and HDR capabilities. Both models also incorporate dual stabilisation technology for better image quality.
For portrait photography, the Honor 200 series uses Harcourt’s exclusive lighting and shadow techniques to optimise exposure, while AI-powered image processing adds natural bokeh and depth at various zoom levels.
Apart from the camera systems, the Honor 200 Pro sports a 6.78-inch quad-curved floating display, while the Honor 200 sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED quad-curved display. Both the displays offer 4000 nits of peak HDR brightness, 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals.
In terms of battery life, the series is equipped with a 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery with AI power-saving and fast-charging technology. Under the hood, the Honor 200 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The standard Honor 200 runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and comes in two variants: 256GB storage with 8GB of RAM or 512GB storage with 12GB of RAM. Running on MagicOS 8.0 UI based on Android 14, the Honor 200 series comes with several AI-powered features including MagicLM, Magic Capsule, Magic Portal, Magic Ring, and Magic Anywhere Door.
