Hollywood vs Nepotism in Bollywood: A Tail of Talent or just a lucky surname?
Napotism has been a hot theme in Bollywood, especially with the rise of new ‘Napo infants’ like Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. While the previous generations were given, the performance of the current crop is being investigated.

Brother -in -law – one of the most commonly used and controversial words in entertainment today. Despite the industry, every actor, Bollywood and Hollywood, at some point, “What do you have on nepotism?” Question, carefully creating a response that will not get them into warm water.
But let’s be honest – while brother -in -law always exists, this issue has become more clear with the rise of new Napo infants. And nothing is clear compared to Bollywood’s Nadaniyan starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor.

There was a time when Bollywood’s Napo infants actually distributed. Saif Ali Khan may have a slow start, but no one questioned his acting chop. Shahid Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan carved on their way, and even though Abhishek does not match the success of his father Amitabh Bachchan, he proved his subtlety in films like Guru and Yuva.
Then Nepo infants – Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s last solid batch came – who has proved their talent time and time again. But after them? It seems that the talent pool is drought.
Now, we have actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who are not yet a concrete matter for ourselves. For example, take Nadaniyan – if you have seen it, you know what we are talking about. While Saif Ali Khan was once Bollywood Heartthrobe, his son Ibrahim’s performance in Nadaniyan did not live up to expectations. The same thing is that the legendary Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor also applies.
Perhaps the project was a bad option. Perhaps the script was weak. Perhaps with the right script, they could redeem themselves. But for now, Nadaniyan remains a difficult watch.

Nepotism is not exclusive to Bollywood – it is also present in Hollywood. But in the West, it seems low who you are and more about whether you have the talent to return it.
You may be a child of Angelina Jolie, but this does not mean that you will automatically take her acting heritage forward. On the other hand, you can be a full outsider like Johnny Depp and become a Hollywood legend.
And here is a fun fact: Timothy Chalmet is technically a napo child! Her mother was a broadwe actress, and her father was an Indie director. But he still had to prove himself before he became Hollywood’s favorite Hartthrobe.
Meanwhile, Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, is winning on the audience. His performance in Nosafaratu is widely appreciated, and fans are eagerly awaiting his next projects.
Then Jack Quad, Dennis Quad and Meg Ryan’s sons, who became a breakout star with their role as Huggi Campbell in boys. Fans love her, and with upcoming vowing, we can expect her to see and wait for her popularity to grow. His latest release, Novocaine, is also praising, proving that the script, talent still shines.

Nepotism is present everywhere. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to talent. Some NEPO children prove their ability, while others struggle despite privileged admissions in the industry.
In Bollywood, brother -in -law, once gave us such actors who could make their grip. Now, the tide is shifting, and the audience now just because someone comes from a famous family.
On the other hand, Hollywood has a slightly better track record. While the connections help, it is still about what you bring to the table. And this is the real difference – brother -in -law can give you an opportunity, but talent is what you live.
But, yes, it will not hurt to give Bollywood a benefit of doubt.
