Hollywood superheroes inspired by Indian mythology: Akshay Kumar
Actor Akshay Kumar, who will appear in the upcoming mythological film ‘Kannappa’, said the Hollywood superheroes and his superpower are inspired by Indian mythology.

Actor Akshay Kumar believes that Hollywood takes great inspiration from Hindu mythology. In an interview, the actor responded to a question about Indian stories to find the global platform when he mentioned that we still do Hollywood with our stories. Interestingly, he was promoting his film ‘Kannappa’, which is a mythical drama.
Kumar, in a conversation Bollywood hungrySaid that most Hollywood superheroes and their superpower are inspired by Hindu mythology. He said, “The kind of stories we have incredible, as I did not know the story behind ‘Kannappa’ before the film.”
Actor Vishnu Manchu, who is in the headlines of the film, echoed Akshay’s feelings, and commented that he feels that ‘Star Wars’ is inspired by the Indian epic, ‘Mahabharata’.
‘Kannappa’ is directed by Mohan Kumar Singh and follows the visit of ‘Kannappa’, who is a religious follower of Lord Shiva. While Vishnu plays the role of Kannappa, Akshay plays the role of Lord Shiva in the film.

Made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, the film is scheduled for a dramatic release on 27 June. It also includes Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Preeti Mukundhan and Madhu. Actors Mohanlal, Prabhas and Kajal Aggarwal make samos in the film as Kirta, Rudra and Goddess Parvati respectively.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’ is successfully running in theaters. Despite poor reviews, the film has grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office. His upcoming films include ‘Jolly LLB 3’ and ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
