Los Angeles Fire: The iconic Hollywood sign, which has appeared in countless TV shows and movies over the years, is in grave danger of burning down as wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles. according to a BBC According to reports, the fire can be seen burning a few miles from the iconic site on Mount Lee above Beechwood Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. As soon as the fake news went viral, the official handle of the Hollywood Sign clarified in a Facebook post that it “will always stand”.

Palisades Fire

The Palisades Fire, which started on Tuesday (Jan. 7), has burned more than 17,000 acres of land uncontrolled. Overall, the wildfire has burned more than 27,000 acres of land. More than 100,000 residents have been ordered to evacuate, including high-profile celebrities who lost their multimillion-dollar homes, particularly in Malibu.

While the Hollywood Sign remained safe, the famous Sunset Boulevard was badly affected by the wildfire. Part of the area, spanning 25 miles, is located in the Pacific Palisades. The Palisades fire caused extensive damage and destroyed many of the buildings along the famous street.

Trump blamed Newsom for the fire

President-elect Donald Trump has blamed Gavin Newsom for the fires and said the California governor has reneged on a plan to send more water to the state’s agricultural Central Valley.

“He wanted to save a useless fish called smelt by watering it down (it didn’t work!), but he didn’t care about the people of California,” Mr Trump wrote in his Truth Social post. “Now the ultimate price is being paid.”
