Hiramandi star Sharmin Segal has allegedly welcomed a child. According to journalist Vicky Lalwani, the actress, who is also the niece of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, gave birth to her first child with husband Aman Mehta on May 28, 2025. So far, the couple has not made any official announcement on social media regarding birth.
Sharmin Segal was married to Aman Mehta, who holds the post of Executive Director in Torrent Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Torrent Group. The couple exchanged the pledge at an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy in November 2023.
Although Sharmin initially moved to Ahmedabad after her marriage, she has been living in Mumbai in recent months. The Bhansali families, including Sharmin and Aman, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his parents Deepak and Bella Bhansali Segal, have allegedly separated from the child’s arrival.
On the work front, Sharmin Segal last appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Hiramandi, which began in May last year. He portrayed Alamzeb’s character in the historical drama.
Segal started her career in the film industry with the debut in the 2019 film Malel, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Before entering the spotlight as an actress, she gained the experience of working behind the camera as an assistant director in films like Bajirao Mastani.
His depiction of Almazeb at Netflix period drama Hiramandi stands as one of his most prominent performances so far. He was also seen in horror-comedy Atithi Bhuto Bhawa, where he shared screen space with Jackie Shroff and Pratik Gandhi.
The arrival of Sharmin Segal and Aman Mehta’s baby boy made a heartbreaking new beginning to the couple, which made immense pleasure for the Bhansali family.
