Hina Khan, who is suffering from stage 3 breast cancer, has made a wig out of her own hair. She shared a video on Instagram and wrote that this was a pre-planned move as she knew that she would lose her hair due to the treatment.
Hina Khan has shared an encouraging video on Instagram. The video shows a wig made from Hina’s hair sewn into a hat. Sharing it, she wrote, “The moment I found out I knew my hair would fall out, I decided to cut it off on my own, while it was still healthy, long and vibrant. I decided to make a wig out of my own hair, which would give me comfort in this challenging time. And I must say it was an empowering decision, and I am very proud of it.”
She further added, “And I want to give a special message to all my brave women out there who are going through the same struggles… If you agree with my decision and agree with it… then I suggest you do the same… it will make at least one thing a lot easier and you will feel better… you will feel at home.”
Hina further wrote, “You know, it feels like somehow I have reconnected with my lost hair when I wear it. It feels good, it feels comfortable and it feels like home. It’s just a phase, I knew I had to go through it and already decided to normalise it for myself and now that I am using it, I thought it would be a good story to share with you all.”
“Because you guys are like a dream to me.. wherever I go, whenever I step out, it’s so heartwarming, reassuring and encouraging to see your reactions, my God, there’s so much love and concern for me. It’s so overwhelming to see a stranger’s eyes fill up with concern when he wishes me a speedy recovery.. I’m just stunned by the positivity you guys send my way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know the world is praying for me. but still please pray (But still, keep giving your blessings) (sic),” he concluded.
