Miley Cyrus says that she was never sure to have children. In a recent interview with The New York Times published on 31 May, the singer admitted that she was not focusing on motherhood. “This is not something that I am focusing on,” he shared. “Such an opinion, to be a certain person, this is an element in my life that I have never attached to yes or no answer.”
Cyrus shared that her feelings about motherhood are the same as she sees other life options. The Flowers Singer recalled a conversation with his stepfather, Dominic Parsel, where he asked why he did not have a makeup line like other celebrities. “I said,” Because I am not emotional about it. ” And he said, ‘This is the correct answer.’ I think about motherhood, ”she said.

The Grammy-winning artist shared that the parenting takes a level of passion and energy that he does not feel. “This is a lot of responsibility and devotion and energy,” he said. “If you are not emotional about it, I don’t know that you sleep at night and whatever my mother has done, her 18 years. And when I say 18 years, I mean 33, ‘Because I am still a child.”
Miley first told W Magazine in June 2024, “I am now 31 years old, and I still don’t know if I want children or not. I think my fans are somehow my children. I have heard Dolly (Parton) also saying that she had no children.”
Despite her thoughts on motherhood, Miley Cyrus considers herself a ‘uncle’s girl’ and shares a strong bond with her mother, Tish Cyrus. She said that she never wants to separate from her mother because she is so close and even admitted that she becomes emotional thinking about her.
Miley mentioned that it has been a major change, which is no longer traveling with him, as he used to do for years. Now that she is 33, she felt that it had become inappropriate, but the absence still affects her. She shared that she often says ‘I Mother Me’, because her mother is not with her as before. When she reflects what her mother brought in her life, the spirit of security is the most standing.
Miley also shared that she wrote about a time about her song and the world when Tish went without a week without Italy. He explained how that small isolation was felt as the end of the world.
