Artem Chigvintsev was recently arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident. The Dancing With the Stars professional was arrested on August 29, 2024, around 10 a.m. in Napa Valley, California.
He was booked into the Napa County Jail within an hour of his arrest. However, Artem Chigvintsev was released later the same day. According to reports, the dancing icon was released from custody at 2:18 pm Pacific time. A Page Six report also revealed that the Dancing with the Stars fame had to pay $25,000. The acclaimed dancing star was arrested on charges of causing bodily injury to his spouse.
The entire incident has been kept under wraps, although some reports suggest that his wife, former WWE star Nikki Bella, now known as Nikki Garcia, was also in Napa at the time of the incident.
The couple was celebrating their wedding anniversary. As seen in Garcia’s Instagram Stories, she uploaded some photos and clips of herself getting a facial. The former WWE member also posted a video of herself and Artem Chigvintsev, giving her followers an insight into their relationship timeline.
“This song is our love story. I will never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Talking to him and God,” the former wrestler wrote in the caption of the story while uploading Elvis Presley’s track Falling in Love With You.
Even Chigvintsev wished his wife, writing, “Happy anniversary my love, I can’t see my life without you. You are my everything.” According to a report by Page Six, the couple has a 4-year-old son whom they have named Matteo.
They first met each other in the year 2019. This was during the time when they were participating in the show Dancing with the Stars. According to PEOPLE, during this time, Garcia was dating famous wrestling icon and actor John Cena.
Although the couple split a year later, Nikki Garcia reunited with Artem Chigvintsev later that same year. Soon both Garcia and Chigvintsev entered into a romantic relationship in the year 2019. In the next eight months, the couple got engaged and then tied the knot in 2022. They welcomed their son Matteo in the year 2020.
