Harshvardhan Rain hits back to Mawra Hocain: There is a lot of hate in his speech
Amid the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, actor Harshvardhan Rane has responded to the criticism of his Pakistani co-star Mavra Hocken about his return from the ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ sequel.

Actor Harshvardhan Rane has responded to the statement made by Mavra Hocken, a Pakistani actor and co-star of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ amidst increasing tension between India and Pakistan.
The controversy began when Harshvardhan announced that he would not participate in the sequel of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ if Mavra Hocken was involved. The decision condemned India’s Operation Sindoor following the post of Mavra, which he described as a cowardly attack. Mavra criticized Harshavardhana as a “PR strategy”, saying, “Somebody expected that there is basic general knowledge, a PR strategy has increased from a deep slamb with a strategy, while our nation is in war, this is the same that comes with you? A PR statement to draw attention? What is a mercy?”
Harshvardhan responded to this on Instagram, called Mavra’s comment a personal attack. He said, “Luckily, I have tolerance to ignore such efforts – but there is zero tolerance to any attack on the dignity (SIC) of my country.”
He said, “An Indian farmer will remove unwanted weeds from his crop, which does not require a PR team for this Act, its general sense is called a normal sense. I just offered to step by Part 2. I am not fully working with those people who label my country’s actions as ‘cowardice’.”
He criticized Mavra for the personal nature of his comments, emphasizing that he did not attack or attacked her dignity as a woman. The note read, “Her speech has so much hatred, so many personal comments. I never mentioned her name or resorted to call in her name. She did not attack her dignity as a woman. I intend to maintain that standard,” read in the note.

Mavra had earlier called the announcement of Harshavardhana as embarrassing and bizarre, especially given the ongoing struggle between the two countries.
Director Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who directed ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, also slammed Pakistani actors for their statements Against the Indian Armed Forces and Operation Sindoor. They told Hindustan Times No Indian platform should engage with Pakistani actors.
Sanam Teri Kasam, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and produced by Deepak Mukut, identified Harshvardhan Rane and Mavra Hocken’s Hindi film debut. Although the film did not perform strongly in the beginning, its re -release was a significant success in February.
