Harry Potter director Chris Columbus is not planning to return to Wizard World. The filmmaker, who took the seat behind the camera for the original film of the franchise, revealed that he would not be part of the upcoming HBO series adaptation.
Addressing the reason, Columbus, in a conversation with the variety, shared that the audience has seen their version, and there is nothing else to experiment with them.
Although the filmmaker has excluded the Harry Potter series, it does not mean that he is against it. Instead, Columbus is hoping that the producers of the show cover the details from the books he remembered in films.
