Actor Mukul Dev died on 23 May at the age of 54. The actor was receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU). Tributes were paid from all over the industry, with hearty messages from celebs like Manoj Bajpayee, Hansal Mehta, Sonu Sood, and others.
Manoj Bajpayee mourned the actor’s death It is more written on X, “It is impossible to put into words what I feel. Mukul had a brother in the soul, an artist whose heat and passion were unmatched. Very soon, very young. Praying for strength and treatment for your family and everyone hurts this loss. You remember my life until we meet again, Om Shanti (Sik).”
Actor Deepshika Nagpal also expressed her mistrust that she could not come with the news of her death.
Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh described Mukul as a “powerhouse artist and a beautiful person,” expressing his deep condolences to Rahul Dev and family. “In fact, we have been left so soon from the sad news of dear Mukul. A powerhouse artist and a cute person.

Actor Hansal Mehta posted a picture of Mukul on Instagram and wrote, “Mukul was not done, more stories, so much laughter. On the other hand, look at my dear friend (SIC).”
Actor Tushar Kapoor also paid tribute to the late actor on X.
Vindu Dara Singh, who worked with Mukul in ‘Sardar’s son’, confirmed this news to India today. “After the death of his parents, Mukul was keeping himself. He will also get out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital. His brother and everyone who knew and loved him, he was a wonderful person, and we will all remember him,” Singh said.
Mukul Dev, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films also made a mark on Indian television and music albums. His powerful depiction in ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ gave him a prestigious 7th Amrish Puri Award for excellence in acting.
