Hollywood star Halle Berry didn’t mind doing a cameo in Marvel’s latest offering Deadpool and Wolverine, but she was never asked. The actress played the iconic character of Storm in the X-Men franchise films.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Berry said that lead star and producer Ryan Reynolds never asked her to reprise her role. However, Berry also said that Reynolds’ partner and actor Blake Lively met her at a fashion show and asked her if she would be willing to play Storm again.

“Blake[Lively]asked me once — I met her at the Marc Jacobs fashion show — and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yes, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me,” Berry told the publication.

Deadpool and Wolverine included several cameos, including Wesley Snipes’ Blade and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra.

Meanwhile, Berry played Storm in the Hugh Jackman-starring X-Men films, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
