Model and singer Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber is always in the news, be it for her fashion or her personal life. Hailey recently revealed why she did not hide her pregnancy. She also spoke about the constant scrutiny on her marriage.
Speaking to W magazine, Hailey said she decided to share her pregnancy news publicly to reduce the stress of keeping it a secret: “I probably could have hidden it until the end, but I didn’t like the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy openly. I felt like I was hiding a big secret, and that didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
The model has also faced criticism and trolling, with the internet comparing her to Justin’s former partner, singer and actress Selena Gomez. She said their relationship is always in the media’s eyes, “People have made me feel really bad about my relationship from day one. ‘Oh, they’re splitting up. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”
“I tried to act like it hurt me as little as possible. I tried to think that at a certain point you get used to it, that this is what will be said and that’s just the way people are. But I realized that it never really hurts any less,” Hailey concluded.
