The couple shared the good news via Steinfeld’s beau society Substack (newsletter), opting for an intimate and short announcement. Although she did not reveal the child’s name or date of birth, the note expressed her gratitude while reminiscing about the early days of parenthood. He also thanked the fans and well-wishers for this love.

Just weeks before the arrival, Steinfeld celebrated her pregnancy with a cozy baby shower at her Los Angeles home. The gathering, which included about 30 close friends and family members, was organized by her mother and was intentionally kept low-key.
Rather than an elaborate theme, the decor leaned toward a soft nursery rhyme aesthetic. One of the standout elements was a growing children’s library, with guests bringing along children’s books to build an initial collection.
They announced the pregnancy on December 13, 2025.
