Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, a friend of Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr., is ambivalent about his return to Marvel as Doctor Doom. Downey previously played Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Like many of us, actress Gwyneth Paltrow is skeptical about her friend and Hollywood superstar Robert Downey Jr.’s return to Marvel as the villain Doctor Doom. Paltrow expressed her confusion in the comments section of the announcement post shared by RDJ.
Robert Downey recently shared a post in which he revealed that he will soon be seen as Doctor Doom in Marvel’s upcoming film. Many fans and celebrities reacted to it, including RDJ’s close friend and former co-star Gwyneth Paltrow who wrote, “I don’t understand, are you a bad person now?” The Russo Brothers, who are also returning to the Marvel Universe, commented, “We’ve always said green is your color.” “Hey brat, green suits you,” wrote actor Mark Ruffalo, who played The Hulk in the MCU.

Downey will be seen playing Doctor Doom in the Russo Brothers-directed film Avengers: Doomsday, which will be followed by Avengers: Secret War, also directed by the Russo Brothers.
Paltrow and RDJ’s close friendship dates back ten years, when they played Pepper Potts and Tony Stark in the 2008 film Iron Man.
They last appeared together in Avengers: Endgame (2019), where Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man dies.
