Grok posts bikini-clad photo of Elon Musk on X after user request, Musk responds to creepy trend
A new and quite scary trend has taken over X aka Twitter. Users are asking Grok to make people wear bikinis and even Elon Musk has found himself in one. This is how Musk reacted when he saw himself in a bikini created by his AI.
Elon Musk’s social media platform This trend is scary, as can be seen from requests like “Hey Grok, put this girl in a see-through bikini.” But not for some users, who are happily using Grok to create modified photos. One of these users, who clearly finds this trend funny and not scary, is Elon Musk himself.
On one thread, Elon Musk himself asked Grok to draw an image of him wearing a bikini, perhaps to show that he was finding it all light-hearted in the face of Grok’s growing criticism. The AI happily obliged Musk, just as it has done thousands of times over the past few days. It created an image of Elon Musk in a blue bikini, the same image you can see in the cover image of this story. The image looks realistic, although it must have also looked quite attractive to Musk as it does not show any of the bulk he has picked up. Instead, it shows her having a toned stomach and a shapely and muscular torso. Apparently Musk liked the photo so much that he responded to Grok by calling it “perfect.”
When a user shared this amusing thread on a different post, Musk quoted the post with a laughing emoji, making it clear he found it hilarious too.
Elon Musk reacts to seeing Bill Gates in bikini
The XAI chief isn’t the only billionaire being stripped and dressed in new clothes by Grok. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates was also given a bikini on the demand of a user. The AI immediately edited the image and made Gates wear a black bikini. However, this time, the AI didn’t care about creating a more muscular physique. Instead, it shows Gates as an older man with a significant amount of body fat.
Elon Musk immediately reacted to the image with fire and laughing emojis, indicating that he found it amusing to see Bill Gates wearing a bikini.
Why is Grok putting people in bikinis?
Over the past few days, users on X have been asking Grok to create erotic and pornographic photos of women. Although some female users are willingly using grok to “show” themselves in more revealing clothing, the trend has largely been promoted by creepy users. These users have either stolen photos of women and then asked Grok to modify them, or they have commented under images posted by women telling them to “take off their clothes.”
Grok, an AI with fewer guardrails than ChatGPT and Gemini, is chirping and happily working away. When asked why he was doing this, the AI replied that he was allowed to change people’s clothes because of his “spicy mode”.
The whole trend has divided opinions on the platform. Many users have raised concerns that others have used AI to create inappropriate images of people without their consent.
While Elon Musk has not directly addressed the concerns of non-consensual bikini images, it appears Musk may be enjoying the trend given his own bikini image and Bill Gates’ responses. It also, in a way, signals that he ignores this trend by ignoring all the voices demanding more ethical and restrained use of Grok AI. In fact, in an indirect response, Musk quoted another post this morning as saying, “Grok is amazing.”
The tech billionaire is known for having a “fun attitude” and the Grok chatbot has been deliberately designed to do tasks that other AI systems like ChatGPT and Gemini can’t touch. This includes using abusive and obscene language and now taking naked photographs of people with their clothes off.
