Govinda is a famous Indian actor who has millions of fans across the world. While his fans have made him one of the superstars of the Indian film industry, it is his wife Sunita Ahuja who has stood by him like a rock in every situation. She has seen her husband work hard to reach where he is today. That’s why he used to get angry when people did not pay money to actors despite getting them to work. Sunita Ahuja joins her daughter Tina Ahuja in an interview with Hauterrfly. Talking fondly about her husband Govinda and his humble personality, she claimed that people used to find it difficult to pay the actor’s fees despite him dancing and performing in their shows. Sunita revealed that she looked after the work of the Hero No. 1 actor and her main job was to receive money from the organisers.
Therefore, during her tenure as her husband’s manager, she has noticed that people do not pay her money. But the actor remains unaffected and tells her that perhaps the show was not successful and that is why they have withheld her payment. But she will not let her partner’s hard work go waste like this. That is why, she protests and retorts, saying, “Why so? ‘You danced! Didn’t do it? you worked hard! He’s fooling you, I can tell.”
During the same interview, she also talked about her equation with partner actor and jokingly said that she has taught her husband acting. Sunita elaborated, “I have taught how well one acts today. Who taught dance, I taught. (Govinda acts brilliantly. I taught him dance. Who taught him dance? I did).”
She further said that when they were dating each other, they used to dance together a lot. They used to compete that his sister got married to his brother-in-law and the winner got Rs 50 as a prize and the celebrity couple always won.
