Inside Google, urgency is being matched by the growing suite of the in-house AI tool. Brian Saluzo, who leads the teams that build the foundation of Google’s major products, said that the company is working hard to embed AI into software engineering. He cited an internal initiative called “AI Savvy Google”, which offers courses, toolkit and training sessions, as well as a coding assistant called cider, which has already been adopted with half the use of employees.
