Google has officially teased the launch date of the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. These flagship devices are set to launch on August 13.
Google has finally revealed the details of the much-awaited Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9 Pro. On X (formerly Twitter), Google posted the official poster of the upcoming flagship smartphones. The teaser shows the integration of its AI, Gemini, in these devices and the back panel. The tech giant has also released the timeline of the Google event scheduled on August 13. The event will be celebrated at 10 am PT, which means 10.30 pm in India. Apart from this information, Google did not reveal any other details about the upcoming smartphones. However, there are several rumours and leaks that are circulating online.

The official teaser shows a stunning design with a dual-pill-shaped camera cutout. The cameras are housed on a rectangular island in the top-left corner of the rear panel. Although the teaser doesn’t reveal the camera on the inner screen, rumors indicate that the phone will have a punch-hole camera on the left side of the screen, a design upgrade from the first Fold’s bezel-mounted camera, made possible by the reduced bezel size.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the successor to the original Pixel Fold, could be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colour options. The expected price of this foldable device is EUR1,899 (roughly Rs. 1,68,900) for the 256GB model and EUR 2,029 (roughly Rs. 1,80,500) for the 512GB model.

The teaser also shows the Google Pixel 9 Pro in a similar way. The upcoming device is similar in design to its predecessor, the Google Pixel 8 Pro. The back panel of the device has a small camera deco with triple rear cameras, flash, and laser autofocus. According to reports, the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will have the same triple 50MP rear camera setup, but there will be differences in screen size and battery capacity, giving users the option to choose between the standard and larger models.
The Pixel 9 Pro is expected to be available in four colours: Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel (Sage Green), and Pink. Storage options and their expected prices are EUR1,099 (roughly Rs. 97,500) for 128GB, EUR1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,06,400) for 256GB, and EUR1,329 (roughly Rs. 1,18,000) for 512GB.
To confirm other specs and details about the new upcoming Google flagship smartphone, we may have to wait for Google’s hardware event on August 13. During the launch, Google is also expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 3, and there could be more to it.
