In short
- Google Pixel can bring new display for Pixel 10 Pro model
- The new series is expected to arrive in August 2025
- PIXEL 10 series is also likely to receive a tenser G5 chip manufactured by TSMC
Google is likely to launch its new generation pixel phone in August 2025. While this date has not been confirmed by the company, rumors suggest that it may follow a launch schedule similar to the Pixel 9 series. Of course, the new Pixel will bring upgrade to the range, but especially for Pro, its performance is whispering notable changes – which includes high brightness and better dimming features, which aims to reduce eye stress.
Google is allegedly changing its hardware strategy for performance on pro model, and thus, Pixel 10 Pro may facilitate more advanced performance specifications than standard Pixel 10. According to a report by the Authority of Android Authority, Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro can not only separate by camera, but also by core components like performance.
The report suggests that for Pixel 10 Pro, Google PWM (Pulse width modulation) is considering a performance with demolish – a method is used to control the brightness by turning on and off the rapid performance. While being efficient and capable of maintaining color accuracy, low PWM frequencies may cause discomfort or headache to sensitive users from low PWM frequencies. Pixel 9 Pro used relatively low 240Hz PWM rate, and Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL is expected to increase it to 480Hz.
However, this change is likely to be limited to more expensive models. Base Pixel 10 is expected to maintain a 240Hz rate, as the Google Pro line may reserve hardware improvement.
While the high fresh rate can be exclusive to the pixel pro model, the performance shine is also likely to be promoted in the series. Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to reach HDR shine of 2250 NITs from 2050 NITs in the previous generation. Regular Pixel 10 is expected to reach 2000 NITs – which is higher than 1800 knots of Pixel 9.
However, performance size and resolution may remain unchanged. Beyond the display upgrade, the Pixel 10 series is also expected to introduce the Tensor G5 chip, allegedly produced by TSMC using a 3Nm process for better performance and efficiency. Additionally, we can see a new camera setup, which can show 4970mAh battery with 48-megapixel wide sensors and support for Q2 wireless charging. The Pixel 10 lineup will also come with a seven -year software update to suit Google’s long -term support policy.
As an official launch, rumors suggest that the phone will be unveiled on August 20, in which the sale will begin from August 28. Google is also expected to provide devices in India at the same time, which continues its global rollout strategy over the years.
