We are still months away from the official launch of the new Pixel Watch, however, rumors are already churning what to expect. The new generation Pixel Watch-Google Pixel Watch is expected to be launched with the Pixel 10 series later this year. According to the new leak, Pixel Watch 4 will get a remarkable design change – a thick body – to adjust a large battery.

A latest render by 91mobiles in collaboration with onallix (Steve Hemsteofer) suggests that the upcoming Pixel Watch 4 can measure in 14.3 mm thickness, above the 12.3 mm thickness of the pixel watch 3. This indicates on Google that it prefer better battery life for his new gene pixel watch.

Leaked 5K render and videos also indicate that Pixel Watch retains the circular design of its predecessor, it can be larger in size. Additional thickness can allow for a high-capacity battery, which addresses one of the greatest criticisms of the Pixel Watch series-Rort Battery Life. For reference, the Pixel Watch 3 (41 mm model) has a 307mAh battery, while the 45 mm variant packs 420mAh cells.

When we reviewed the Pixel Watch 3, we got about 22 hours of battery life based on the 41 mm model. Therefore, the clock needs to be charged every day. However, with the new Pixel Watch, like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, there is a possibility of promoting the battery to conform to the competition, providing the 425mAh battery and the Apple Watch Series 9, which offers up to 36 hours. In fact, this year both Apple and Samsung are expected to launch new smartwatches with further upgradation. And Pixel Watch 4 will be in competition with them.

In addition to the battery, renders also indicate a possible wireless charging feature. Photos show no magnetic charging pin on the back, which suggests changes in QE Wireless Charging from USB-C.

For performance, it appears to be a more edge-to-edge, providing a more modern look. The render also shows two additional buttons, which flanks the speaker, possibly for quick shortcuts or fitness control.

Pixel Watch 4 launch timeline

Pixel Watch 4 is expected to begin in October 2025 with a Pixel 10 series.

To look back, Pixel Watch 3 came last year and in our review, we liked it very much. In fact we have called it “one of the best Android smartwatch you can buy now.” The Pixel Watch 3 came up with a large 45 mm dial shape, which was certainly one of the biggest highlights, as Pixel users were long waiting for a large-dial pixel watch.

It also had an actua display – 2000 NITS with brightness. Pixel Watch 3 also came with better battery life and fast charging than Watch 2, although we missed wireless charging. Google also added a group of new health facilities, including daily readiness, cardio load, target load, loss of pulse detection and better heart rate tracking for walking.

Now we are expecting better batteries for Pixel Watch 4, availability of more facilities in India- Pulse detection launched last year was not available in this field- and improves facilities like ECG.
