After launching the Google Pixel 9 series, the company is fully prepared to release a toned-down version of the phone. Google Pixel 9A is rumored to hit the market in March 2025. While the company has not yet officially announced the release, leaks and certification spotting almost confirmed the launch. In the latest leaks, as reported by 91mobiles, Pixel 9A has been seen on the EMVCO certification website, revealing some details around it.

Google Pixel 9A confirmed to be released with Android 15

The upcoming Google Pixel 9A has been viewed on the EMVCO certification website, where it is listed under the model number GTF7P. Although the document published on 31 January clearly does not name the device, it confirms that it will ship with Android 15 out-of-the-box. Reports suggest that Google may launch Pixel 9A in early March, making it the first A-Series smartphone to debut before the company’s annual Google I/O event in May.

Google Pixel 9A: Leaked Glasses

An earlier report took a detailed look at what to expect from the upcoming Pixel 9A. One of the most notable changes is its design-Google is allegedly moving away from the Signature Camera Bar, choosing for a smooth, flush-back design. This change is affected by the inclusion of a large -scale 5,100mAh battery, the largest in the pixel device. Despite the large battery, the phone is expected to maintain compact form factor, with a 6.28 -inch display with a peak of 2,700 NITs, HDR shine of 1,800 NIT, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, Pixel 9A is rumored to be operated by Google’s tensor G4 chipset, which is paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, both use UFS 3.1 technology for rapid reading and writing speeds. The device will be launched out of the box with Android 15 and is expected to receive seven -year software and safety updates, ensuring long -term support for users.

On the camera front, the Pixel 9A is set to facilitate a dual-camera system, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front-faceing camera will also use a 13MP sensor. Google’s signature camera capabilities, such as night vision, are likely to include astrophotography, and super race zoom, which makes it a strong contender in mobile photography.

Despite its impressive specifications, Pixel 9A may come with some trade-off. Reports suggest that charging speed will be limited to wired charging to 23W and wireless charging to 7.5W, similar to its preceding, Pixel 8A. The smartphone is also expected to be launched in four color options: Osidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peoni.

Google Pixel 9A: Expected Price

Rumors indicate that the price of Google Pixel 9A will start at $ 499 (about Rs 43,200) for 128GB storage variants in the US, while the 256GB model will be priced at $ 599 (about Rs 51,900). While the initial value corresponds to the pixel 8A, the high storage version sees a slight increase in cost.

Prices for Pixel 9A in India are expected to be different. For reference, Pixel 8A launched Rs 52,999 for 128GB model in India and Rs 59,999 for 256GB variants. A uniform pricing structure for Pixel 9A can be estimated when released in the country.
