Google Pixel 9 Pro price has leaked just days ahead of the launch. The launch is set to take place in India on August 14, while the global release is scheduled for August 13. Google introduced the Pixel 9 Pro last month and revealed that the device will come deeply integrated with its AI, Gemini. Except for the Gemini integration and a glimpse of the back panel, the tech company hasn’t revealed anything about the device. The Google Pixel 9 series is expected to have 4 devices: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As per a recent Reddit leak, the Pixel 9 Pro price could start at $1,000 (roughly Rs. 84,000).

Google Pixel 9 Pro: Price leaked

Although the standard variant of the Pixel 9 Pro is priced at $999 (roughly Rs. 83,867), which matches the Pixel 8 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is actually the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. This could result in a higher price point for the flagship models in Google’s series, indicating a possible increase in cost for the highest-end device. This leak also hints at a $200 price hike over last year’s Pro model. If Google follows the same pricing trend for the base Pixel 9, we could see it starting at $900 (roughly Rs. 75,556). According to the leak, two Pixel 9 Pro models are listed at that price point. It states that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is priced at $1,200 (roughly Rs. 1,01,00) for the 256GB and 512GB storage options.

Since the leak is based on US prices, it does not mean that the smartphones will be released at the same price in India. The Pixel 8 Pro was launched in India at Rs 1,06,999, which was for its 128GB storage variant, but the launch price in the US was $999 (roughly Rs. 84,000). This means that the arrival of the Google Pixel 9 Pro could also follow the same trend. So, we can say that if the Pixel 9 Pro price leak is believed to be true for the US, it will come with a hike of around Rs 23,000 in India.

Although the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are rumoured to receive a price hike, there is speculation that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold could retain the same price as its predecessor, making Google’s foldable device a more attractive option in the premium foldable market, potentially giving it a competitive edge.

Google Pixel 9 Pro: Expected features

The Pixel 9 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The camera system on the Pro model is said to get significant upgrades, with leaks suggesting it will feature a 48-megapixel telephoto lens and a 42-megapixel front-facing camera.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL leaked

A video leak reveals the late-stage design of the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The distinctive geometric pattern below the G logo on the rear hints that this device is likely a prototype or test unit rather than a final retail version. Additionally, the fact that the screen remained off throughout the video indicates that the phone may not be fully functional or capable of booting Android.

A recently surfaced 20-minute video shows off the design of the largest model in the Pixel 9 series, giving detailed information about the device as well as allowing for side-by-side size comparisons with other flagship smartphones like the Pixel 8 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
