The Google Pixel 9 series is set to launch in India and other parts of the world on August 13. Google has confirmed the release of the Google Pixel 9 and Google Pixel 9 Pro. In a teaser, the back panel design of both these devices was revealed. The teaser also informs that the premium variants will be heavily integrated with its AI, Gemini. The launch will take place at 10.30 PM IST. Barring these details, nothing has been officially announced. However, there are several rumours and leaks doing the rounds on the internet. The latest leak reveals the colours and overall design of the Google Pixel 9 series.
Google Pixel 9: Leaked colors and design
According to 91mobiles According to the report, Google Pixel 9 series may come in 4 new colors: Dark Grey, Light Grey, Off-White and Pink. Pink back panel as per reports India Today Techweeks ago. It is certain that these will not be the names available in the market for the variants. The leak also suggests that the frame of the device will be glossy, while the back panel will have a matte texture.

That’s not the case. The report also states that the new camera island will have a different look. The official teaser revealed the cameras on the back panel, but the leak gives details about each device included in the Google Pixel 9 series. The Pro model may have three lenses and the regular Pixel may have two lenses. More details about the sensors will be given later. The camera island on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is shaped like a rectangle with rounded corners. On the non-foldable (Pixel 9), it is rectangular in shape.

The front panel of the device will likely have a punch hole display.
Google Pixel 9: Gemini Features
Google has only hinted so far that the upcoming devices will make extensive use of the Gemini AI feature. Going by this momentum, it is speculated that these devices will have many other AI features as well.
Google has promised seven years of security updates and Pixel Drops (software updates with new Pixel-exclusive features). The new Pixel will feature Pixel Screenshots, which is similar in features to Microsoft’s Recall feature. With this feature, the user can save information that you want to remember later – such as events, locations and more. You can open Pixel screenshots later to find out what users are forgetting or missing.
Users will also get Emergency SOS with the upcoming Pixel 9 series. The feature is meant to shoot distress alerts about nearby fires or floods. It also claims to thwart malware and phishing scams.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: What we know so far
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the second foldable device from Google but the first one to arrive in India. The upcoming device is expected to feature a much bigger display than its previous device, the Google Fold. The new foldable phone is expected to feature an 8-inch inner display. This is not only an upgrade from the Fold 1’s 7.4-inch but also stands as a great competitor. The new display will apparently have a resolution of 2152 x 2076, have a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, and support a 120Hz refresh rate. The Google Fold disappointingly fell short of 1,000 nits.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal the camera on the inner screen, rumours indicate the phone will feature a punch-hole camera on the left side of the screen, a design upgrade from the first Fold’s bezel-mounted camera, made possible by the reduced bezel size.
