Google Pixel 10a to launch in India soon: Design, expected price and top features revealed
Google has officially teased the Pixel 10a ahead of its launch in India, confirming a cleaner design, improved durability and familiar Pixel strengths along with some subtle upgrades. Here’s a look at the expected price, specs and top features.
Google has finally given fans a proper look at the Pixel 10a, and first impressions are about refinement rather than reinvention. In a short teaser video released on Wednesday, the company officially confirmed the phone’s design, putting an end to months of leaks and renders. Although Google is keeping most of the details under wraps for now, the teaser and subsequent announcements confirm that the Pixel 10a is coming soon, and India is firmly part of the plan.
A familiar pixel look, now clean
At first glance, the Pixel 10a looks reassuringly familiar. Google hasn’t tried to fix what wasn’t broken. The phone is very similar to the design language of the Pixel 9a, but there is one small change that catches your attention. The dual rear camera setup is now completely flat on the back panel. Last year’s Pixel 9a already minimized the camera bump to a great extent, but the Pixel 10a goes a step further by removing that slight bulge as well.
The horizontal, pill-shaped camera island with a single LED flash is still present, but the flush finish gives the phone a cleaner and more polished look. The teaser video, which lasts just 15 seconds, focuses almost entirely on this design detail, with a seamless transition from the Google logo to the camera module.
Google has shown the Pixel 10a in blue color which looks similar to the iris color of the previous generation. However, subtle hints in the background suggest that more color options are on the way.
Launch date and availability in India confirmed
Google has confirmed that the Pixel 10a will launch on February 18 in India as well as global markets. This makes it a direct successor to the Pixel 9a, which launches in March 2025. While pricing details are still being kept under wraps, Google is already trying to generate some early excitement.
Google Store customers who sign up for information about the Pixel 10a by February 13, 1:29 PM IST, will be eligible for a special offer. According to the company, this benefit can be applied to future orders after purchasing the Pixel 10a, although the exact nature of the offer has not been revealed yet.
Durability and camera upgrades teased
Along with the design, Google has given some hints about what to expect from the Pixel 10a. The company is calling it “the most durable Google Pixel A-Series yet,” which strongly points to improved dust and water resistance. This is supported in leaks, which suggest an IP68 rating, which is a notable upgrade for the A-series lineup.
Photography is another area that Google is teasing. Although no camera details were officially revealed during the announcement, the brand has promised better imaging performance. As expected, Gemini will also be built into the phone, continuing Google’s effort to make AI a core part of the Pixel experience.
Expected specifications based on leaks
Although Google hasn’t shared the full spec sheet yet, the leaks paint a pretty clear picture. The Pixel 10a is expected to feature a 6.285-inch FHD+ OLED HDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of HDR brightness, which is slightly higher than the Pixel 9a.
Under the hood, the phone is tipped to run on a Tensor G4 processor paired with a Titan M2 security chip. This shows that Google is prioritizing stability and efficiency rather than moving to a new chipset. The Pixel 10a is expected to come with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offer 128GB and 256GB storage options using UFS 3.1.
On the camera front, the leaks point to a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with optical image stabilization, as well as a 13MP front camera capable of 4K video recording. There is also expected to be a 5,100mAh battery with wired and wireless charging.
Expected price and color options
In terms of pricing, reports suggest that the price of the 128GB variant of the Pixel 10a in Europe could start at EUR 549, while the 256GB model could go up to EUR 649. Directly converted, these are approximately Rs 58,000 and Rs 69,000 respectively, though the Indian price may vary. Since Pixel 9a was launched in India for Rs 49,999. Google is expected to launch its successor in a similar price range in India.
As far as colors go, the Pixel 10a is rumored to come in Berry, Fog, Lavender, and Obsidian, with a blue shade seen in the teaser. There are only a few days left for the launch, so Google won’t be able to keep the remaining information secret for long.
