Google Pixel 10a created a lot of excitement after its release. Whether it was the outrage from tech fans around the world that Google didn’t change much, or whether it was genuine hype by people who wanted it to, it got people talking. And this is the best situation for Google.
Love it or hate it, the search giant-turned-hardware company struck gold with the A-series Pixel – people have been interested in it since day one. So let’s talk about 10A.
It comes with a USB-C cable and a SIM tool. Pricing for the phone starts at €549 for the 12/128GB model and €649 for the 12/256GB model. Color-wise, you have the option of lavender (ours), berry (light pink), fog (silver), and obsidian (black).
Google sells its predecessor in four different colors for €399.
By now, you know what’s new – the 10a has a slightly brighter display, the new Gorilla Glass 7i, Satellite SOS support, and faster charging – 30W wired and 10W wireless (vs. 23W/7.5W).
That means the 5,100mAh battery is the same, the 6.3-inch 120Hz 1080p P-OLED is technically the same, the camera system is the same, and yes, the SoC is also the same 4nm Tensor G4.
The phone feels the same way too – and that’s no bad thing. it feels great. It’s compact, fits perfectly in the hand, it’s light, and it’s very smooth thanks to the combination of Google’s Magic Software Touch and a 120Hz panel.
So, not much has changed, but that’s no bad thing for Google. Whether you’re unhappy with it or not, people, especially in markets where Chinese phones have limited availability, will be attracted to this phone because of its balanced and capable spec sheet, Google’s trust score, and affordable price.
And, here’s the key part – eager buyers will choose to save €150, and go with last year’s model, because it’s mostly the same, but cheaper. Which Google knows very well and will undoubtedly benefit from.
