Google Pixel 10 vs. Pixel 10 Pro: What is different and is it worth saving money?
Google has many new phones in India, including Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10. Between two phones, there are a lot of similarities. And a huge difference. So, is Pixel 10 Pixel a better price than 10 Pro? We investigate.

Now for many years, Google is launching its Pixel phone’s Pro and Non-Pride variants. This year also, it is no different. Last night, the company launched its latest Pixel 10 phones, Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. But what is different this year is that, on its face, relatively inexpensive pixel 10 more expensive Pixel looks quite close to 10 Pro if you look at the specs sheet.
It raises the question: Is it better to get Pixel 10 Pixel 10 Pro? And if you spend less then how much you really lose – quite low because the price difference between two phones is Rs 30,000 – if you choose Pixel 10?
Good question! So, we provide you some answers – initial, of course, because these are based on what we know about the new Pixel and not really on our experience with them. The experience-based answer will have to wait for a few days.
Pixel 10 vs Pixel 10 Pro: India Price, Offer
As we said, there are immediate differences between the two phones in terms of their price. This difference is Rs 30,000, which remains even when you add offers and deals.
Pixel 10 is priced at Rs 79,999 in India, but buyers can grab it for an effective price of Rs 69,999, thanks to 10,000 HDFC Bank discount offer thanks to which was declared during the launch. The cost of Pixel 10 Pro is about Rs 1,09,999, making it more expensive by about 30,000 rupees.
Google Pixel 10 vs Pixel 10 Pro: What’s different
Performance and design
Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro share the same size when it comes to performance. Also design. But there are differences too. While both phones have a 6.3-inch OLED panel, the standard model gets an FHD+ panel with a peak of 3,000 NITs. Pixel 10 Pro, meanwhile, with QHD+ resolution -is supported for high 3,300 nits shine. Both support 120Hz refresh rates, but the pro may be down to 1Hz, which always helps to preserve the battery in cases of use. Regular pixel 10 is limited to 60 Hz.
Similarly, in terms of dimensions, two phones are compulsory. But the ingredients used in making the phone are more premium at the Pixel 10 Pro, which has a matte and soft satin finish on the back glass. Regular pixel 10, compared, has smooth glass finish. However it doesn’t matter much because we all use our phone with a case.
Beyond these two differences, its rest are quite similar. Both phones have the same IP68 rating, the same gorilla glass layer on the front and the same aluminum frame.

Battery and charging?
Pixel 10 has a 4970mAh battery, while Pro contains a slightly smaller 4870mAh unit. Both support 29W wired charging and now also benefit from 15W wireless charging using the new QI2 standard. Google has branded magnetic alignment feature as “pixelsnap”, which works similar to Apple’s magsafe accessories. This means that you can now use cases and chargers who snap behind the phone without worrying about alignment.
Camera: Where the real difference lies
This year, Google has also brought a triple-camera setup for regular pixels. This is why you can see the camera module of two phones and it may be an impression that they are the same. But they are not.
Pixel 10 packs a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultravide sensor and an 11-megapixel 5x telephoto camera. On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro benefits its camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 48-megapixel 5X periscope telephoto camera that can digitally zoom up to 100x. The standard Pixel 20X tops the digital zoom.
Selfie also shows a difference. Pixel 10 has a 10.5-megapixel front camera with autofocus, while the Pro jumps into a 42-megapixel autofocus unit, making it a better option for video calls and content creators. On the video side, both can shoot 4K, but only Pro can only shoot 8K. It also comes with extra zoom and dual-ricading, such as features that appreciate professionals.
What about chipset, RAM, storage and software?
This is an area where there are differences despite clear equality. Both models are powered by the new tenser G5 processor, the first custom chip of Google is manufactured on the 3Nm process by TSMC. But it is together in the hardware that we see differences. Pixel 10 Pro not only packs more RAM – 16 GB vs. 12 GB – it also uses UFS 4.0 storage faster than UFS 3.1 on standard Pixel 10.
Both come out of the box with Android 16, with Google’s new Pixel Sense Assistant. AI-centered features, such as live transcription, smart camera tips and photo selection suggestions during meetings, are also added for a meaningful experience.

Don’t forget Google AI Pro
Now, this is a bit difficult. Not everyone may need it, but the Pixel 10 Pro phone comes with free Google AI Pro subscription for a year. Regular Pixel 10 This is not available. Now, if you need an AI Pro Plan from Google, it means a savings of about Rs 23,400 with the Pro. Can it be a factor when you are trying to choose options between Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro? You know this best.
Pixel 10 vs. Pixel 10 Pro: Which is worth it?
This year’s Pixel 10 is no longer stripped version that it used to be. With the same tenser G5 chip as a telephoto sensor, bright display, and Pro, it brings most pixel experience at low cost. For most users, especially those who want the price-to-wealth, Pixel 10 will feel like a sweet place.
But we also see that the Pixel 10 Pro really has some important under-hooding hardware differences, which will matter to users who seek greater speed and overall top-grade experience. It also has an important leg in the performance of the camera, which will also appeal to those who click photos as professional or as an emotional hobby.
Although it costs. The price difference of Rs 30,000 – but quite low if you also count free Google AI Pro subscription that may be useful for you or not – enough. Nevertheless, while we believe that Pixel 10 hits a sweet place this year, with its bump-up feature set and hardware, the Pixel 10 Pro is still a cut above it.
