Google launches Pixel upgrade program in India: What is it, who is eligible and how to use
Google has introduced a new Pixel upgrade program in India in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance Limited and HDFC Bank, giving customers access to the latest models through a 24-month no-cost EMI plan, assured buyback, and annual upgrade options.
Google has launched the Pixel upgrade program in India. This program will allow users to upgrade to the latest Pixel device every year on a monthly plan. Google claims that it aims to make Pixel devices more accessible to consumers in India, as well as make it easier to switch to the latest devices.
The program has been launched in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance Limited and HDFC Bank.
How to join the Google Pixel upgrade program?
If you want to join the Pixel Upgrade Program, you’ll need to select one of the eligible models – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, or Pixel 10 Pro Fold. You then have to visit the partner retail store and purchase the device on a 24-month no-cost EMI.
Google says EMI plans start at Rs 3,333 per month. Once you purchase the device, you can enroll yourself in the upgrade program through the Cashify website. But enrollment must be done within 30 days of purchase.
How does the Google Pixel upgrade program work?
Once you join the Pixel upgrade program, you will get the option to upgrade to the new Pixel model after completing nine EMI payments. This option will be available on your device till the completion of the fifteenth EMI.
If you decide to upgrade to a new Pixel device, Cashify will credit an amount equal to the balance on the original EMI loan into your bank account, allowing the loan to be settled without pre-closure charges within that specific upgrade window.
Enrollees are also eligible for an exchange bonus of up to Rs 7,000 offered by Cashify on trading in their existing device during enrolment. The program offers an assured buyback guarantee on your Pixel device, which applies regardless of the physical condition of the device – as long as it is operational and passes basic functional checks.
What happens after I upgrade?
Once customers complete the upgrade, they can start a new 24-month no-cost EMI plan for the latest device.
Purchasing through the Pixel Upgrade Program also unlocks trial subscriptions to popular Google services. Buyers of the Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, or Pixel 10 Pro Fold are eligible for one year of Google AI Pro, six months of Fitbit Premium, and three months of YouTube Premium. Those choosing the Pixel 10 get six months of Google One premium, six months of Fitbit premium, and three months of YouTube premium along with 2TB of storage.
Google Pixel upgrade program launched
The Pixel Upgrade Program is now available. According to Google, this program will run till June 30, 2026.
The announcement comes amid Google’s efforts to make Pixel devices more accessible in India. Earlier this year, the company began selling certified refurbished Pixel devices through Cashify.
