Google launches its most affordable Pixel 10 series phone Pixel 10a in India: Price, specifications and more
Google has launched Pixel 10a in India. As you can probably tell from the name, the 10a is the most affordable member of Google’s Pixel 10 series, designed from the ground up to bring the Pixel experience to more people.
Google has officially launched the much-awaited Pixel 10a in India. The next-generation affordable Pixel smartphone comes with a great display, big battery and its latest AI-powered features, targeting the mid-range segment. According to Google, the Pixel 10a takes some of the key features from its flagship Pixel 10 line-up and packages them in a device that costs less than Rs 50,000.
In India, the Pixel 10a will be available at a price of Rs 49,999, which is the same as the Pixel 9a at launch. 1oa is available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale starting March 6, 2026. The Pixel 10a comes in lavender, obsidian, fog, and berry options.
As part of the launch offers, Google is offering Rs 3,000 cashback on select HDFC Bank cards, along with no-cost EMI options of up to 24 months and an exchange bonus of Rs 3,000. The phone is also part of Google’s Pixel Upgrade Program, which allows users to buy it on zero-interest monthly installments starting at Rs 2,083 and upgrade later through an assured buyback model.
Google Pixel 10a specs and features
Coming to what the all-new Google Pixel 10a brings: In terms of hardware, the biggest highlight is the display. The Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, making it the brightest screen ever on a Pixel a-series device. The design has also been refined this year, with thinner, uniform 4mm bezels and what Google calls a “bumpless” chassis. The phone is IP69 certified for dust and water resistance and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for screen protection.
That said, battery life is another area where Google has made notable improvements. The Pixel 10a has a 5,100mAh battery that is rated for more than 30 hours of usage on a single charge. The phone supports 30W wired charging along with 10W wireless charging, which offers more flexibility than many competitors in this bracket. The phone is powered by Google Tensor G4 with Titan M2 security coprocessor.
For photography, the Pixel 10a sports a dual rear camera system consisting of a 48-megapixel wide sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
On the software front, the Pixel 10a relies heavily on Google’s AI capabilities. This includes features like Camera Coach, which provides real-time guidance when taking photos, and Auto Best Take, which can optimize group shots with up to 20 people by automatically selecting more natural facial expressions. Like other Pixel devices, the 10a will receive monthly Pixel drops and are promised seven years of OS and security updates. It runs Android 16 and is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chip.
Google is also emphasizing sustainability with this model. The Pixel 10a uses a 100 percent aluminum frame and 81 percent recycled plastic back cover with recycled metals including cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten.
