Google has confirmed that Pixel 9A will be available in India on 16 April with launch in Australia, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. This device will already hit shelves in the US, Canada and UK on 10 April. Initially it was expected to be launched soon after the revelation of March 19, the release of Pixel 9A was delayed by the “component quality issue”, which needed Google to check before confirming the availability.
Pixel 9A brings several upgrade, including a smooth new design, which digs the traditional camera collision, chooses a flush rear camera instead of housing that the phone is placed on a flat surface. The 6.3-inch AMOLED display of the phone now claims the 120Hz refresh rate and a summit of 2,700nits, which is a noticeable improvement with its 6.1-inch screen and low bright level (2,000nits) of its pixel 8A.
Under the hood, the Pixel 9A is powered by a Google’s custom-made tensor G4 processor. Coupled with 8GB RAM, the device promises to give top notch. On the camera front, the Pixel 9A is equipped with a 48-megapixel primary camera connected with a 13-megapixel ultravide lens. A notable feature is the inclusion of a macro mode, which uses the main camera sensor for close-up shots. The 13-megapixel front camera is also for selfie.
The battery life on Pixel 9A is another strong suit, packing the device of 5,100mAh, upgraded to its anterior battery of its predecessor. It supports QE wireless charging and 23W wired fast charging, so that the users can recharge the phone quickly if needed. Durability has also been improved, as the device now carries an IP68 rating, which means that it can withstand submerses in water to a certain depth, making it more flexible for harsh conditions.
In terms of software, Pixel 9A runs the latest Android operating system and is packed with AI-operated features of Google, including Gemini AI and popular Google accessories. One of the standout features of the device is its software support, as Google has promised 7-year-old Android OS and security updates, making it a future-proof device that will remain up notes with the latest innovations for the coming years.
