Google Vids AI expands its video-editing capabilities with new features aim to enhance avatars and user experience.

Google Written Productivity Suit parts Google Vids have unveiled new features that promise to revolutionize video editing. A declared in Google I/O and released in Beta first, AI avatar facility is now generally available. This tool allows users to post a script, select from a series of voices and individuals and make a video with these AI avatars. Additionally, the company has introduced a video editing feature that can automatically detect and detect filler words such as “Um” or “Ah” and Long Rules while streamlining the editing process for users.
The new AI-operated features are accessible to the field business or enterprise starter users, Google Ai Pro or Ultra Subscribers, or the field for education customers. Its purpose is to provide advanced video editing tools to these user groups, making them more polished materials efficiently. This feature aligns Google’s continuous investment in AI to increase user experiences on its platform.
Google Vids is also expanding its abilities with image-to-video generation tools. Initially launched for VEO 3 in July, this feature is now available in VIDS, making users an eight-second video clip from images. Google has also announced future plans to develop noise, Google Meat-Licch background and effects, and support for new size forms such as portraits, landscape and square, although specific release dates have not been provided.
While Google AI is not alone in video editing space, companies like synthesia and D-ID also provide similar tools to make educational and training videos, Google offers are standing out by integrating these features in their existing workspace suits. This step is particularly beneficial for users who cannot have a budget to make videos from scratches, as Google’s AI equipment simplifies video construction process.
In an attempt to make these devices accessible to broader audiences, Google is also launching a free-to-use consumer version of VIDS with basic editing control. Although this version will not include AI features, users will have access to Google’s template library, font collection and stock media library. This strategy appears targeted on individuals who require basic video editing capabilities without the need of advanced AI tools.
The announcement comes as part of a broad push in the technical industry to integrate AI in everyday tasks, simplify workflows and increase productivity.
