Google’s AI mode in search is providing new features such as PDF analysis, ability to upload documents, generation plans through canvas and using videos with the search live. Google says that these new AI equipment are designed to learn, research and everyday tasks to make more interactive and easier to manage.

Google is rolling a series of updates in its AI mode in search. These updates include the ability to analyze PDF, organize tasks using a new feature called canvas and interact with real -time video input through search live. Updates are mainly rolled out in the US and India, some features are available only to users enrolled in the AI mode labs of Google.

Users will be able to reach AI mode on Android phones, iPhones and desktops. On the desktop, users can look for the new AI mode button on the Google Homepage. Google says that these new practical features are designed to make research, plan and information access to students, teachers and everyday users.

PDF analysis facility

Google is adding PDF analysis to AI mode on Android, iOS and desktop browsers, allowing users to upload documents such as lectures slides or reports and ask questions about their content. The device will scan the PDF, draw the relevant insight from the web, and provide linked sources that will allow users to detect more around the subject.

This new feature is created on the current image analysis facilities available on Android and iOS in Google App. Additionally, Google has announced that soon, AI mode will support other file types, such as people of Google Drive, which make the tool more versatile.

Meanwhile, PDF analysis facility is being rolled out first for more than 18 English speaking users in the US and India. Since AI mode is still experimental, Google recommends users to verify the reactions when necessary.

Canvas for project planning

Google is also issuing a canvas facility on AI mode. It is already available in Gemini. This feature in AI mode will allow users to create and organize plans in a dynamic side panel that updates over time. According to Google, this new tool is designed to help users keep an eye on information in several sessions.

This feature will allow users to start a project by asking AI mode to help and then selecting the option “Create” option. Google says that this study program will be particularly useful for traveling, travel programs, or management of any project that requires many information.

Canvas feature will allow users to integrate references from their own files, such as class notes or courses, once the upcoming file upload functionality is supported. Users will be able to return to your canvas project at any time to add, edit or refine to add materials.

For availability, the Canvas AI Mode Labs is launching first for US-based users enrolled in the use and will initially be available only in English.

Search live with video input

Rolling in AI mode is another feature video “search live” with video input, with users indicating their camera on a live scene and ask questions in real time. Google’s Project Astra-powered by Estra and integrated with Google Lens, this feature will also enable users to start back-end-forth conversation with AI mode. It is being launched on mobile devices in the US this week.

Lens integration with chrome

Google Chrome’s address bar is offering a new “asking Google about this page” option, allowing users to ask questions about anything on their desktop screen, whether webpage, PDF, or other file types.

With the option of diving deep through follow -up questions using AI mode, the AI observation results will appear in a side panel.
