Golden Globes 2026: Wagner Moura, Jessie Buckley win top acting honors
Wagner Moura and Jessie Buckley emerged as big winners at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, taking home Best Actor and Best Actress honors for The Secret Agent and Hamnet, respectively.

The Golden Globe 2026 for Best Actor went to Wagner Moura for his powerful performance in The Secret Agent, while the Best Actress award went to Jessie Buckley for her role in Hamnet.
Moura said in her acceptance speech, “‘The Secret Agent’ is a film about memory, or the lack of memory, and generational trauma. I think if trauma can be passed down generations, then values can also be passed down. So this is for people who hold on to their values in difficult moments.”
The Golden Globes lit up Beverly Hills on January 11, with Hollywood’s biggest stars bringing glamor and style to the red carpet. Leading the night was Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who stole the show with her stunning presence.
The 83rd edition of the prestigious awards officially kicked off in Los Angeles with the arrival of celebrities, making the much-awaited evening even more spectacular.
The ceremony was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and featured a star-studded cast of presenters including Priyanka Chopra, Queen Latifah, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Pamela Anderson, Macaulay Culkin, Ayo Adebiri and Regina Hall.
