GOAT Box Office Day 16: Vijay’s film to cross Rs 250 crore mark in third weekend
Greatest of All Time witnessed a massive drop in collections this week. However, this Thalapathy Vijay film is expected to reach the Rs 250 crore earnings benchmark at the domestic box office in the coming weekend.
Greatest of All Time has entered its third weekend at the box office. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer is expected to reach the Rs 250 crore earnings benchmark in India. As per trade website reports, the film has grossed Rs 234.30 crore domestically after 16 days of run. SaconilcThe collection has declined this week, but it is expected to improve slightly over the weekend.
Vijay plays a double role in GOAT directed by Venkat Prabhu. It is also the second last film of the Tamil superstar’s career, after which he will quit films to work dedicatedly to strengthen his political career. The film grossed Rs 2.35 crore on its third Friday.

The film crossed the Rs 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office earlier this week. Now, after 16 days, it has reached Rs 425 crore. Before GOAT, Vijay’s last film Leo had a net collection of Rs 341.04 crore in India. Given the drop in collections, it looks difficult for GOAT to surpass Leo’s overall business at the box office.
The film will also face tough competition from Devraa: Part 1. The film starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor is hitting the screens on September 27 amid much buzz in the southern market. It is a period action drama featuring the Telugu superstar in a double role. If Devraa gets a good response, it will pose a challenge to the smooth run of GOAT at the box office.
