Hollywood rising star Glen Powell recently shared an update about the much-anticipated Top Gun sequel. The actor said he has a ‘date’ but refused to give further details.
Speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Glenn said: “I mean, I have a date.”
When asked for details about the project, the actor refused to speak anything on the subject and said, “Not at all.”
Powell recently met Cruise at the premiere of Twisters. However, the two did not discuss the sequel. “Tom and I did not get to discuss it at the premiere of ‘Twisters,'” Glenn said.
Powell previously talked about this during an interview and said, “So, is there going to be a ‘Top Gun 3’? If we can come up with more crazy things involving airplanes or a story that is compelling, emotional, adventurous, romantic and things like that, I’m sure Tom would agree to it. But it’s above my pay level. Maybe you can tell him that when you talk to him!”
Top Gun: Maverick is directed by Joseph Kosinski and will be released in 2022.
