First look poster and release date
On Thursday, the makers released the first-look poster, in which Medha’s character in a saree is sitting on top of Avinash’s character and he is bare-chested doing push-ups with dumbbells. The caption of the release reads, “Ginny and Sunny are back! The relationship is fixed, just this time there is a little twist. (The relationship has been decided, just this time there is a little twist)! #GinnyWedssSunny2 hits theaters April 24!”

Avinash had earlier shared his excitement for the project on social media, saying, “Extremely excited to share the joy I have had while shooting for GWS2 over the past few months. For Medha, this project is her first theatrical release after the success of 12th failed In 2023. Her participation in the sequel has garnered attention, as audiences are anticipating her next performance following her acclaimed role in the previous film.

Original Ginny Weds Sunny It tells the story of Sunny, played by Vikrant Massey, who is trying to win Ginny’s heart with the help of his mother, who is a professional matchmaker. The film explored themes of love, misunderstandings and familial expectations, ultimately resulting in the marriage of Ginny and Sunny after overcoming personal and romantic obstacles.
Meanwhile, Avinash will be seen in the upcoming film o’romeo. The film, releasing on February 13, also stars Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri.
