It turns out that TCL was holding the Alcatel brand this throughout this whole time – for the phone, we mean. The Chinese company licensed the brand from Nokia, and is now almost ready to resume it.

Soon there will be a full range of Alcatel smartphones to be launched in India, in fact they will be part of the “Make in India” initiative. The brand will also set up a nationwide service network, and the product line will include some anonymous patent innovations.

In terms of design, expect devices to be “influenced by French aesthetics”, which it also means. Alcatel will place bets on a smartphone featuring a stylus, and wants to give itself a position to offer premium features at good prices. The smartphones will combine “design, functionality and user experience”.

Unfortunately there are no other details at this point, but what two brand officers have to say here.

First, Atul Vivek, Chief Business Officer:

In Alcatel, our vision for India is to make the innovation democratized by making premium features accessible to wide audiences. Our devices basically merge with style and performance, eating technical enthusiastic people, urban aspirations, fashion-conscious consumers and digital nomads equally. We believe that technology should not only be powerful, but also reflect the latest trends, and we are excited to introduce products that embodory this philosophy in the Indian market.

And finally, let’s hear Ans Rathi, Chief Operating Officer:

As we expand our presence in India, we have adopted the ‘Made in India’ initiative by focusing on local manufacturing. By producing our equipment within the country, we aim to increase supply chain efficiency, ensure better quality and contribute to India’s growing technology ecosystem. This strategic step not only strengthens our commitment to the Indian market, but also strengthens our mission to make state -of -the -art technology more accessible and inexpensive for consumers.
