Google’s Gemini team recently appears on a role. After launching Gemini with personalization a few days ago, Gemini is getting two new features today: Canvas and Audio Overview. These are quite exciting despite his dull names.

Audio observation originally converts any document you uploaded into podcast – or instead, it presents information in the document in an audio podcast form, with two AI hosts. It was first seen in Google’s notebook, and it is now making its way for Mithun. What is more, it is available to all those using Gemini, you do not need to be a customer of the paid plans.

The only warning is that it is available only for now in English, but more languages ​​are promised to reach “soon”. To create an audio observation, simply upload the document or upload the “slide on various subjects” and then click on the suggestion chip that is pop up above the Prompt bar. It will take a few minutes to generate each podcast.
The audio observation is available on the web and in the Gemini mobile app, and the podcast can be easily shared and downloaded. Google suggests using it with “class notes, research papers, prolonged email threads or reports generated by deep research”.
Mithun is also getting canvas, “A new interactive space within Gemini” “designed to make, refine and share its work”. You can “easily generate high quality drafts”, then correct your work with Gemini’s response. Gemini can easily accommodate tone, length, or formatting with quick editing tools.
The best way to think about it is that it is designed for spontaneous cooperation with Gemini. And once you do it, you want to cooperate with other humans, you can export canvas to Google Docs with one click.
