Google is dedicatedly working to improve and upgrade its AI chatbot, Gemini. The company is going all out to integrate Gemini across all its services. First, Gemini appeared on Gmail web in June, and now it is coming to the mobile interface as well. Google has recently announced that its chatbot, Gemini, is now available on the Gmail Android app. The feature called Gmail Q&A is now available to all Android users, but it will cost some fee. The feature is only available to those who have subscribed to the advanced version of Gemini. Google has also said that the feature will soon be coming to iOS users as well.

According to Google, with Gmail Q&A, users can access Google Gemini in the Gmail app as a personal assistant that can read your entire email inbox. Google says you can ask Gemini to give you a summary of an email, such as, “Catch me up on emails about quarterly planning.” Additionally, you can use the feature to get precise information by asking Gemini targeted questions, such as “What was the exact budget for the company’s most recent marketing campaign?”

Subscribers can access this feature by clicking the black star icon, which is now a recognizable symbol for Gemini across Google’s range of products, located in the top-right corner of the app. Currently, the Gmail Q&A feature can only pull information from your email, but Google plans to expand its capabilities to include access to files stored in your Google Drive account in the future. But again, that’s only for subscribers.

Google is not planning to offer Gmail Q&A for free to Gmail users in the near future, but instead is using premium features like Gmail Q&A as a selling point to justify the monthly subscription fee for Gemini and encourage users to upgrade to a paid plan.

In another development, Google has finally introduced a new and improved AI image generation tool, Imagen 3. After facing major criticism for being biased and racially inaccurate, the company had shut down its services in February. But now, it is back with the tool. According to Google, “Imagen 3 sets a new standard for image quality, generating images with just a few words.”

In a blogpost, it said, “We have worked to make technical improvements to the product, as well as improve evaluation sets, red-teaming practices, and clear product principles.” It also said that Imagen 3 will have flaws in the creative area. But Google is ready to listen to users and get their feedback to improve the feature.
