Lalbaugcha Raja is located in Lalbaug market. If you are coming from far away, local trains are the most convenient and economical mode of transport. Lower Parel Railway Station on the Western Line and Curry Road Station on the Central Line are the nearest stations. You can reach the pandal from the station on foot or by taking a bus or taxi.
Thousands of devotees visit Lalbaugcha Raja every day during Ganesh Chaturthi. If you are visiting there for the first time, be prepared for a long wait and queue. The queue for Lalbaugcha Raja darshan is very long and one may have to wait for 12-13 hours for darshan.
Do not forget to carry water, cold drinks, snacks and medicines with you during your visit to Lalbaugcha Raja. During the long waiting hours, make sure to keep yourself hydrated and energized.
There is a very long wait to get in there throughout the festival. But you can go there early in the morning so it is less crowded. However, try to go on weekdays and completely avoid going there on weekends.
